SHAMANIC ART: Ceremonial Drums and Rattles

Shaman Drums

Many years ago, I got my first drum in New Mexico. I was excited to be able to beat my own drum and create my own sounds, and I was going to lead my own meditative journeys! But, the sound did not last. The drumskin was too thin and did not hold its tension in varying weather and humidity. Not much later, the skin tore at two of its lacing points, and the drum soon became altogether useless.

As I started making drums for others, I remembered that first experience, and I worked to make sure that others were not disappointed. I got the best quality rawhide available from sources around the country. Over the years, I have had many satisfied customers.
