My first rattle was a great experiment. I had no instructions, just the rattle I had purchased and the stories I had heard. I also had a very nice piece of moose rawhide left over from making my first drum. I cut two identical pieces for the rattle head, two circles with little tails. The long and short of it is that I did make a great rattle, and I have made hundreds of rattles since. You can make your own wonderful rattle, too. What if you have never made anything with your hands? I have created step-by-step rattle-making instructions, and my kit includes just about everything you need. Can you make your own rattle from these instructions? You certainly can, and it is a great feeling when you do. |
