Shaman Rattle Kits

My first rattle was a great experiment. I had no instructions, just a rattle I had purchased and the stories I had heard. I also had a very nice piece of moose rawhide left over from making my first drum.

The long and short of it is that I did make a great rattle, and I have made hundreds of rattles since. You can make your own wonderful rattle, too.

What if you have never made anything with your hands? I have created step-by-step rattle-making instructions, and my kit includes just about everything you need. Can you make your own rattle from these instructions? Almost certainly, and it is very, very rewarding.

	Making Your Rattle from a Kit ....(1) Soak the hide pieces overnight and lace them together. ....(2) Pack the rattle head with sand and let dry overnight. ....(3) Remove the sand and fill with corn. ....(4) Insert the handle and wrap the handle with leather.
	The rattle you make will look like these:

Kits include two hide pieces for rattle head, stick for handle, leather to wrap handle, artificial sinew, corn, and a tapestry sewing needle.
