Rawhide Rattle Kits
My first rattle was a great experiment. I had no instructions, just a rattle I had purchased and the stories I had heard. I also had a very nice piece of moose rawhide left over from making my first drum.

The long and short of it is that I did make a great rattle, and I have made hundreds of rattles since. You can make your own wonderful rattle, too.

Making Your Rattle: Step by Step Images

Kit includes hide pieces for the rattle head, stick for handle,
leather to wrap handle, artificial sinew, corn, tapesty
sewing needle, and step-by-step instructions.

You supply sand, funnel, glue, string, rubber
band, and a razor tool or sharp scissors.

A talented artist made this rattle from one of my kits.
(The artist supplied the turquoise stone and the
leather strips around the rattle neck.)
