My Policies

Custom Made Drums
Nearly all my drum sales are custom orders. I maintain a large inventory of hides and drum frames so that I can make the drum a client wants. As I make a drum, I have a ceremony for that drum and that client, and I write the client's name inside the drum. Drums typically take one to two months to complete.

Rawhide Rattles
I keep a large supply of completed rattles and rattle materials on hand so that I can meet the varied goals of my clients. Rattles take many days to create because of the many intermediate shaping and drying steps during their creation. (The rattle-making process is actually more complex than making a drum.) If I do not have a rattle in stock, it may take one to two months to complete.

Power Animals
I utilize Bear, Buffalo, Elk, Horse, and Moose in my work. I work hard to get the best possible hides, but the hides I obtain are always the byproduct of something else. Whenever possible, my hides are tannery rejects, and I give them a spiritual purpose.

Special Items/Special Orders
I want my clients to be happy and will work to ensure that clients are happy. If there is some type of drum or rattle that you want but that is not on my web pages, please ask. I'm always willing to work with you.

Guarantee
I guarantee my creations for one year. If your drum or rattle or drum mallet fails during that period, please contact me for repair, replacement, or refund. Neglect, such as leaving your drum inside a car on a summer day, invalidates this guarantee.

Shipping/Shipping Costs
I ship via the U.S. Postal Service and pack drums and rattles very securely. My shipping fees are intended to cover my actual costs. Shipping and handling charges for the continental United States are included with each item. Shipping internationally will cost more.

Please contact me for the correct shipping and handling charges outside the continental United States.

Payment
Payment must accompany the order and is most easily done with PayPal (at www.paypal.com). It is safest for you, and I pay all the fees. You need not have a PayPal account; all you need is a credit card, and you give PayPal the same information you give any online merchant. I also accept personal checks and money orders from North American clients; I ship after the check or money order has cleared. For international orders, I accept PayPal.

My minimum order total for new clients is $120.

Privacy
Your privacy is protected by me. I do not share client names with anyone. I don't pester clients with offers to buy. I don't have a newsletter, so don't expect any regular mailings from me. If you express interest in something new (e.g., my egg-shaped drums), I might actually send you an email when I create that new product. I use PayPal (see "Payment" above), so I never see or have access to your credit card numbers or bank accounts.

Legal
All the items I offer are legally obtained in North America and legally purchased in the state of Kansas where I live. I will not knowingly ship anything that is prohibited in a client's home state or country. If you are not sure, please ask before ordering.

It is the client's responsibility to ensure that the order is legal and proper in the client's state or country. Customs duties, if any, are the client's responsibility.
