Cougar Drums, Rattles, & Drum Mallets

Cougar rawhide is incredibly powerful but also incredibly scarce. Cougar is known by many names, including mountain lion, puma, catamount, panther and ghost cat.

In ten years of looking, I have found only one cougar rawhide. Unfortunately, I have sold all the drums and rattles I could make from that rare Cougar rawhide.

I have a small amount of tanned Cougar hide from a tannery reject. This hide is soft and luxurious, not the stiff rawhide used for drums and rattles, and it makes drum mallets with a fantastic look and feel.
