Cougar Drums, Rattles, & Drum Beaters

Cougar rawhide is incredibly powerful but also incredibly scarce. Cougar is known by many names, including mountain lion, puma, catamount, panther and ghost cat.

In ten years of looking, I have found only one cougar rawhide. Unfortunately, I have sold all the drums and rattles I could make from that rare Cougar rawhide.

I recently found another tannery reject, a tanned Cougar hide. (Tanned hides are soft and luxurious; they are not the stiff rawhide used for drums and rattles.) This hide makes drum beaters with a fantastic look and feel.
