Buffalo Drums and Buffalo Rattles

Buffalo rawhide is very traditional for drums, rattles, and ceremonial work. It is easy to work with, and it tolerates weather and humidity changes well. I am able to offer completed drums and rattles as well as kits for buffalo drums and buffalo rattles.

I am also able to offer "Lightning" buffalo rattles. These are translucent rawhide rattles filled with small quartz crystals. These rattles produce brief flashes of light when shaken vigorously in a dark room.

Once in a while, I am able to obtain something unique, such as a tannery reject buffalo hide that still has its hair, which make terrific rattles.

They are wrapped with Bear, Buffalo, Deer, Elk, or Moose leather.
